If you do make a survival map, make sue to post a link to it on this thread. It's much more difficult to find your maps than for you to put them all in one place.
Not as long as you might think. Creating the base design for the island, digging out the caves and removing all the extra blocks takes about a hour and a half. The rest is easy creating trees and all the other spawned items takes about a half hour and putting the island in the map and making the water fall takes about a 20 minuets. But the rest of the work is really what is time consuming. Things to do with biomes and animal spawning and dungeons and other small things takes too much time. Unfortunately, the work on the forums takes just As much time as the the map it's self does. There's always something that goes wrong.
I NEED to do a let's play of this map, I think it's genius! I love Skyblock, but the problem is that once you spawn there is nothing left to discover. This gets rid of that problem. I wish I could do a let's play now, but my computers performance is no longer good enough for my videos to be enjoyable. And it's a macbook pro, so I hated it anyways. I am going to go all out with the equipment, so it might be a while until I am ready.
As for mods, I believe the technicpack would be nice, and you could make an oil island or something like that.

I would love for you to do a review of my map.
When it comes to lag problems I've done a lot with my map to make sure that it runs as smoothly as possible. Defenitly play the 2.4 world, it has a lot lag fixes. I've made sure to PLace the islands just at the edge of the render distance from each other So that just one island is loaded at a time for minimum lag. The massive lag from the extreme number of ghasts spawning has been fixed and the intinal lag on both the ocean and swamp islands have been fixed.
I would give it a shot even if you don't think your computer can handle it.

Well, there are other reasons why I want to buy a new computer. The only free recording program I can get is quicktime player, and it sucks. If anyone watches my videos they can't even here the actual sounds from minecraft because quicktime player can't record the screen and the sounds from the computer at the same time. I would rather buy a new computer and get a good recording program. And the computer I use isn't even mine.
Oh wow. great job man this looks really great.. I will definetly look forward to playing this when 1.3 comes out and i can invite people to single player worlds.. Jungle biome is my favorite.. and ocean
I downloaded something that said Sky block beginner. Is this the map? If so, it didn't work for me.
Yes, it's the 1.0 world. I haden't come up with a name for the map yet. It is the right level though. Are you saying that it didn't work for you? What was the problem?
Is this okay with you?
My channel is ShowTheDaniel. Check me out please.
I encourage it, make as many as you want. Post a link to your video on this thread when the video is finished.

Make a portal anywhere in the map and it will take you to the nether island.
