I think the issue with mapmakers giving feedback to other mapmakers is that we'll always notice where the brush strokes where placed, be them obvious or not (not always the case, but generally.) Pie said the same thing about my first post of Avalon Fortress (where the island it was sitting on was only a fraction showing), and I know for a FACT that it's more than thoroughly eroded, the angle just makes it seems slightly suspicious.
People are going to notice when they decide to kill those blazes and destroy the spawners. Then that's when they say, "This map has terrible aesthetic design!" and criticize you on it. Or, they can tunnel around and look out the side. People are complicated.
Look, wait to play the map before you rag on me for it. It's stupid to insult a map you haven't even played yet.
Uh, erm, Sorry but is that map going to be a ROM-Hack hard map?
You can get mauled by blazes in Spellbond Caves, and that doesn't make it ROMhack hard. This first map will be easy-medium. But don't worry, for the people that like it, I have several ROMhack hard maps planned for the future.
Wanting that Winter Wonderhell be the last area I tackle, I returned to Forestmen and found Bunkerstein. Inside I dealt with 2 funboxes (No problem) and had my...well, second, but realistically my first encounter with Blazes (First one was in the er, I mean the Ruined Tower). The heavily reduced vision made me wish I had Void Vision. Anyway, after some stumbling and getting shot at by skeletons and exploded by creepers, I found the 2 wools and exited, forever leaving Forestmen behind, leaving just Winter Wonderhell
Okay, so here's what I know about the Wonderhell:
Diamond Block and Black Wool in Balestein
Red Wool in Jester's Castle (Backup's gonna be made)
Brown Wool, Water and Nether Wart in Sanctuary
There's a place called Cold Cave.
That's all I know. Also, quick question while I am here: How much nether wart can I spawn in in Sanctuary and can I spawn in Soul Sand at the same time?

Yeah, I'm gunna change it back after teh holidays.
I'm still working on my cubes. How would one go about using brushes inside the cubes, but not changing the bedrock of the cube or the air outside the cube?
Woah! That looks cool.
Using the replace brush seems to work the best, but even that can't prevent the placement of stuff outside the cube. Thankfully, it is pretty easy to just copy the 64X64X64 cube and get rid of the extra material that way.
Heyas, I have been working on another map project, I am building a spawn area, if you have a moment, take a look at the photos below and if you have any feedback I'd appreciate it greatly! Thanks :-)
Okay... How did you get all those random bits of the other blocks there? Did you do it manually?
Also, I've never gotten into LoL for difficulties of running it on a mac, and I haven't had the time to experiment with the various mac-alternatives. I'd be thrilled if anyone could suggest a good third party program to let it run right.
Look, wait to play the map before you rag on me for it. It's stupid to insult a map you haven't even played yet.
To counter, I'd say look, don't use obvious brush strokes. It's not stupid to criticize the design of a map we haven't played with, when you have shown us a picture of that design. Few mapmakers out there understand exactly how important it is to design a map well, not just in a loot and balance aspect. If it doesn't look pretty, it's not going to appeal to people.
TIL: Giants do not react to Health Pots. They do not damage the Giants.... Odd.
EDIT: They do react towards Damage Pots. Does this makes them not undead? It seems like it..
I might want to change EXP value on this giant, it's hard too kill so i want it to drop like.. 10 levels? How much in value would that be?

Pots do potion effects when thrown now?
YES! I'm so happy. Pots really needed another use other than their intended one.

CTM maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Black Desert, Legendary, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Lethamyr, Waking Up
And when you break them, they have a chance of dropping an emerald or rarely a diamond! But only if it was naturally generated.
And where, pray tell, would you find these legendary pots?
I think if you flip the dragon egg upside down, it turns into like 30 pots or something like that.

Did you even see the picture? if you did I'll take that as legitimate advice.
My progress in Winter Wonderhell. I feel so accomplished...
I need to figure out how I am gonna get the water source block into my inventory in Sanctuary. I am probably going to spawn in a bucket of water and a full stack of Nether Wart into my inventory in there, so I have to actually get back with it. The question is: How do I do that seeing as I am playing on version 1.1?

Dear Vechs!
Do I have your permission to start shooting a YouTube series regarding your maps?
If you deny, I will not do it.
Thank you,

So yes, you're allowed to make an LP of his maps.

I wasn't aware that Guude uses the "Gravity block spiral" technique.
Here's how I did that.

Heh, that was the strategy I used to get to the first dispenser tower. It...didn't end well. Zombies overwhelmed me and caused my first (So far out of 5) death.

Um...whoops. I forgot to spawn in a second water source block and some Nether Wart while in Sanctuary. Can I do so anyway now that I am back at the VM? Because I didn't even encounter a single enemy on my way back, and the journey back would be completely uneventful... Also, if I can, how should I do it? Again, 1.1.
Finally,
Is Jester's Castle opposite of Castle Balestein? As in it's placed like this:
Yeah, I can understand that being the case.

It's the erode tool you have to be careful with.
Okay... How did you get all those random bits of the other blocks there? Did you do it manually?
You just lost the game.

I think they're mosty in dungeons, although the term "dungeon" is being used rather loosely here.
Oh, and you have to say "HEYA!" when you break them.
Ok, I know I'm referencing Zelda, but what are you referencing?
You just lost the game.

Yeah, stone building, vines, and obvious cavestrokes.
