So I noticed this mod wasn't playing well in my 200-mod pack, so I weeded through it to hopefully solve some people's problems as well as my own. Not sure if it's something Karyonix can fix or not, but I'd like to know if I should be bringing up these issues elsewhere.
Gravity Suite, Modular Power Suits, and Applied Energistics Peripheral may cause the game to either be black-screened when entering a world or the grass/ground color blocks vision.

And it kind of just went on like that for a long time with no deviation. The errors varied while using shaderpacks, but this one was consistent when using Sonic Ether's shaders and without a shaderpack.
If it's of any interest, this is what spammed the log when I tried running Sildur's Shaders
May I also have your specs? Some of them seem like graphical errors (related to hardware).
GPU: Radeon HD 7970
Processor: AMD FX-8350
OS: Windows 7
RAM: 8 GB
I updated to the latest drivers while looking into my problem. I did end up fixing my issues though, to be clear.

Can you make a version where it doesn't lag as bad as possible?
What's your system specs?
Lag's coming off your bad GPU.
AMD-optimization would only go so far on low-end cards. The optimization benefits the high end ones.

Downloaded the new version. It works like a charm. I haven't noticed the dreaded disappearing hand with no shader loaded. I also tried my shader with it and didn't notice any incompatibility with the new version so far. Good job!

Hi karyonix!
Love your mod and everything it enables for us Minecrafters. I'm having some issues though. Without any shaders loaded my I can't seem to run my game past 2-4 FPS at a given moment - I can hardly navigate the menus. I don't have Optifine loaded, and I have a custom pack of about 90 mods. It would seem to me that I should be able to run your mod without much problems - especially without any shaders enabled. Can anyone here shed some light onto my problem?
My system specs are i7-3930K, Radeon HD 7950 3GB, 32GB RAM, and I have Minecraft running off an SSD. I'm somewhat at a loss if the problem is coming from my system.
I've looked through a lot of this forum and I couldn't seem to find any solutions.

Which driver? I'm on 13.11 with the same GPU.

13.12
I've been using 13.11 BETA (whatever, 2 isn't it?) with no issues as well, along with many others.
I just downloaded the latest 13.12 yesterday, haven't installed or tested it yet.
Let me confirm tonight/tomorrow if the latest WHQL drivers break MC.

YES!!! YEEEEES!!!
He means Optifine loaded in the "libraries" folder in your .minecraft/minecraft folder. Complex stuff, really.
No, Optifine goes in the /mods folder.. AFTER you apply the FML patch.
