This is my Idea for the contest. It is the same on the other side. Feel free to change anything up.
Name: Eyedol
Close range: It rams you for medium damage.
Far Range: It shoots energy balls out of its shield-like thingys for the same damage as the ghasts' fireballs. You can also redirect the energy balls with Divine RPG blades only.
Health: A little more than a ghast.
Location: Dungeon of Arcana or new dimension.
Very nice idea, now there will be a spider for every dimension because well,
Overworld: Spider, cave spider, jungle spider
Nether: Hellspider
Ender: Enderspider
+ twilight spiders for every other dimension.
hey yall, enjoying the mod heaps but how do you get the other dimensions I'm up to the azurite hills and i don't know how to get to the other dimensions because the wikis changed
EDIT: o i just checked again and theyre back but aren't there other dimensions like iceika or something I feel like I've seen a lets play where they went there, is that out to us?
Xolova and Hologuard, just a quick question for ya...
I sort of want to, in the distant future, make a mod pack (with heavy alterations to certain mods for the sake of balance, why it sort of has to be a pack for the server I want to make based on the pack). If later on down the road, I actually get things working and what not (I am just starting to teach myself Java coding to work on getting the ability to do this), would you potentially allow me permissions to use your mod in it? I will only use mods with permissions from the devs, so just asking if you would consider it ahead of time knowing your stance on mod packs (half of the mods are still WIPS, and won't be ready anytime soon for a full on pack based on them... ok, I don't really feel Ars Magica is WIP, he just calls it WIP because he doesn't consider it 100% perfect, lol)
Said pack (If I gained all permissions needed, and I won't do it without said permissions) would involve TC3, Ars Magica, Altriacraft, and Divine RPG as the core mods in it (Divine RPG is the big cause of needing heavy balance changes in the other mods, as we know how most mods balance their armor to the vanilla standard, not your insanity standard, lol). The actual style of the server, if I could get it to work, would be that you chose one of 3 paths to progress to help yourself along, being either a Thaumurgist, a Mage, or a magic Bladesmith. You would chose one path to get yourself going along when you joined the server. The goal of that would be to promote trade among the 3 groups... as well as the fact that while PvP is disabled in the overworld.... it is fair game anywhere else, and we will promote invading other groups bases in an attempt to actually secure their unique resources.
This is an idea in my head currently, and I would just rather it got shot down early than shot down late after months of work in it to get it all set up.
I have ambitions of becoming a game developer, and making a very balanced modpack for MC would feel like a decent first step (with potentially my own mod mixed in, if I make one... ideas are in the back of my head... big ones....) to a long term dream (might actually join you guys a while down the line, after I teach myself what I need to know. I just see no point in giving you guys an application before I have the skills to actually help out... unless you would be willing to take me as an intern so to speak, at which point I will go ahead and fill one out. Would help fast-track my development of my skills in java and MC modding).
EDIT: A large portion of this is Copa Pasted from the one I am sending around to all the devs of these mods. So if you actually check these mods, you will see something similar to this on each of them, lol.
I was using a texture pack when I installed DivineRPG, but when I saw your post I immediately switched back to the default texture pack.
I checked to see if it worked properly, but sadly, no. Will re-installing work?
Edit: Nevermind, I just realized I had Optifine installed, sorry for the disturbance if I caused any! xD

You forgot about acanea. (I don't think I spelled it right)
Is there any chance of improving the terrain of the dimensions in future updates? Admittedly, the dimensions are exactly the same but with different colors... This somewhat spoils the mod, unfortunately. :/

Also... great mod. XD
It's definitely possible. I don't know at this time but it is more likely than unlikely.
Is there any chance of improving the terrain of the dimensions in future updates? Admittedly, the dimensions are exactly the same but with different colors... This somewhat spoils the mod, unfortunately. :/
Absolutely is. In this update (1.2.7) we're improving a lot of stuff, from ambiance, to armors to textures and I'm highly looking into generation. Our only downfall is people would have to re-generate but we may make that a thing and it's optional if they want the new features or not.

So which part of my message is that related to? The permissions, or the internship style thing? If it is the internship, then Ill go ahead and set up an application now.

I know, it would be nice if the dimensions names' (other than Uvite Islands) actually made sense. Dravite Hills? What hills? Mythril Mountains? I see no mountains. It would most likely be a huge coding job for the devs, but it could be done in stages. maybe one dimension at a time? in separate updates? I don't know anything about coding, maybe it's really easy to code 5 dimensions to each generate separately, but it sounds like a big job. Oh lol while I'm typing this xolova answered about this topic. thanks for clearing that up xolo.

I noticed, when I downloaded the most recent edition of the mod, I got a broken file from one of the downloads. I used the other one just fine though, so I figured it was just my connection acting up messing the download up the first time.
The mods works great, but it is impossible? I mean, we are four players playing from scratch and it comes monsters 24/7 that kills us in 2 hits, and we need to hit them like 20+ times using iron swords.. We dont have any better gear yet cause it's impossible to farm. Are we missing something? Btw, we live in the jungle..
Jungle is a horrid place to set up an early game base. The safe biomes for starting out are Plains, Non-tundra forest, and Extreme Hills. The icy biomes spawn Frost (look like snowflakes) every now and then, anywhere within it, inculding under ground, making it dangerious (they are pretty much like blazes, only icy, and with a lot more hp, at 80 hp. An iron sword hits about 6 damage.) Although tough to take down if not experienced, the reward for managing it is Icy stones, which can be used for A. Angelic Armor parts, and B Weapons. The sword made from them is better than diamond, with 5000 uses, and 10 damage, and an on hit slow, compared to Dia's 8 damage and 1500 or so uses. Pretty basic, but really good early game. Just realize then tend to spawn in packs of 2 or 3 when above ground, although tend to go solo underground. Best method to take one down is just bull rush it, I find. I have managed to kill 3 without any armor and just an iron sword using this trick, solo. Their shots are slow, just when you think one is about to fire, dodge to the side. Their aim tends to suck.
I don't have experience with the jungle mobs (I hate jungles, and tend to get out of them right away, only heading into them for a few resources then leave).
Also, a mod I recommend to run with this mod is Damage Indicators, which provides a small health bar to the top left of the screen of the last mob you looked at. Also pops up damage numbers when you hit a mob, letting you see just how hard the hit was. Rule I have noticed is that the higher a mobs hp bar, the riskier a fight is against them. Also, just an fyi to help you out... you don't need diamond tools. Realmite is just as able to mine stuff, and has nearly 3.5x the durability, for being slightly slower. If you can get a rupee setup, don't actually use it. Gather the needed 9 Rupee and make a tool of each one, and the unused tools, if combined, make an all-in-one tool with infinite durability, which is quite handy, although hard to gather up all the rupee.
Also, the way you progress in this mod... until you feel like you have fully conquored the overworld (save for a few mobs like the Rainbour) you tend to want to not go to the nether. Then you conquor that, then go to the end. After that, you start actually going into Divine RPG dimensions. Also.. if you see an Ender spider in the overworld... just don't even bother with them. They are too prone to running to be worth attacking, even though they only have 45 hp. It is rare to get more than 2-3 hits on them, as they like to teleport long distances the moment you "would" hit them and not get hit. And then come from behind later and knock you off a cliff when you finally gave up dealing with the little bugger. Luckily, just like Endermen, they ignore you if you don't look at them, but they are very small, meaning you can easily miss them and then find yourself getting hit by them.
I don't quite get you. Is it possible for this file to be downloaded from dropbox instead? I've seen complains of other people trying to download files from 2shared and they get the same problem with the "?cau2=403tNull" at the end. And my internet connection is fine. I've downloaded other mods under 2shared but have not faced the same problem. Maybe it's the link?

It doesn't make it impossible, it makes it hard. Drpg is like a very-hard mode for Minecraft. Iron is worthless in this mod for fighting. So is diamond. You'll need to craft tools and armor from this mod to survive.
Also, you can't live in a jungle early on because of the monsters that spawn there specifically. Consider Jungle, Taiga and Beaches off limits until you can either dodge mobs skillfully, or have good drpg tools.
