A major issue for multilayer compatibility has been fixed in the new releases of the client Wallpaper - v2.2 and client Frames - v2.2. This compatibility fix will be added to the 1.3.2 versions as well very soon.
Thanks a lot to Malivil for fixing the issues with the newer versions of forge in SuperSlopes!
I will not be continuing this mod any more so for those who want to continue it here is the source code: Client Mods (Has most of the builds, some may be missing but some unreleased builds are included) Server Mods (These are only the ones that I have found, they may not even be useful however since the newest client builds are also server builds)
If you wish to continue the mods please credit both Keavator and myself.
This is a recompiled version of Kaevator's SuperSlopes for Minecraft 1.3.2. It isn't much different from the Kaevator's original mod but adds new features such as a tweaked naming system, blocks accessible from the creative mode inventory, and a unified client and server mod.

This configuration file is also available in a Forge SMP server under the conf folder
Noted Bugs (Do not report these)
These are a list of bugs that have already been put into consideration and will hopefully be fixed soon.
SuperSlope Grass blocks have texture issues
SuperSlope Dirt blocks do not change into its grass equivalent like regular dirt blocks
Smooth lighting isn't working 100% on some blocks
Items are bright at night
Inverted staircases will not render above level 64 if no other block is above level 64 in that chunk - I have no clue as to why this is happening and I would be happy to get confirmation that it isn't only an issue for me.
Duplicate SuperSlopes staircases can no longer be crafted or accessed from the creative mode inventory, but still exist for compatibility reasons.
Return values of recipes have been modifed to match the ratio of input to output for staircases, 3:2. So everything now returns 3 items except for stairs which return 4.
One block recipes that convert slopes back to their original material have been removed due to inconsistencies
Fixed the weird issue that inserted unexpected entities into the configuration files and prevented assigning an ID to certain wool blocks
Added configuration boolean "BlockInversion" to enable or disable block inversion
Replaced all occurrences of "Silver" to "LightGray" and "Steel" to "Iron" in config files
v4.1 - Build 4
Updated for Forge
Added a mcmod.info file since Forge would crash otherwise.
Added an actual version system that continues from Keavator's original version system (older builds also follow the new version system but their coded versions remain the same; by their Minecraft releases, so v3.1 is version 1.2.5)
Added blocks to creative mode inventory under the "Building Blocks" tab, it is also searchable.
Dramatically restructured code (only important for developers)
Tweaked configuration files to be more informative and readable
Merged the Client and Server mod into one
Client
v4.0 - Build 3
Updated for 1.3.1 (Temporarily with ModLoader rather than Forge)
Updated nomenclature
v3.1 - Build 2

Frames by Hammerfell
Recipes
Wood Frames
Iron Frames
Noted Bugs (Do not report these)
These are a list of bugs that have already been put into consideration and will hopefully be fixed soon.
Bounding box is much thinner than the actual frames so sometimes frames disappear when at the edge of the screen.
Frames cannot be broken if not holding the beam item, dye, an axe, or a pickaxe.
When a block is placed in front of a frame, the frame turns black. Also, it wont update properly until the block is removed.
When placed on snow or grass, the frame is place on top and does not replace it
Dyes are used up even when the current colour is already in use
Frames can no longer be placed in adventure mode - but still can be destroyed.
Frames no longer drop an item when destroyed by a player in creative mode.
Wood Frames & Iron Frames can now be added through creative mode inventory under the decoration tab or by using the search function.
Merged the Client and Server mod into one.
Removed the sound packet since it is sent automatically in 1.3.2
Frames now play sound effects when burnt.
Fixed lag when removing a frame
Client
v2.2 - Build 2 + Bug Fixes
Fixes the crash when a frame is added, removed, or updated in any way while the player is not in range of the frame (this would only happen on a server).

Updated to work with Frames Server v1.0
Iron Frames no longer burn
The item "Beams" has been renamed to "Frames" and is now recognized by the material type. (Wood Frames and Iron Frames)
Smoother day/night lighting transition.
Frame lighting now matches regular block lighting at night. (Before the lighting was much darker than the surrounding blocks)
Frames are now vulnerable to explosions and have slightly lower resistance values relative to their material counterpart. (Planks & Iron Block) - Note: Frames do not dampen the explosion power like blocks do.
The Iron Frames item can no longer remove or update Wood Frames and visa versa.
Changed the destruction item for Iron Frames from axes to pickaxes. (Wood Frames still use axes)
Added extra configuration options. (DyeFrames & BurnFrames)
Frames can now be updated when not on a wall.
Frames now play sound effects when added, removed and updated.
Frames can now be placed like regular blocks rather than just on walls.

Nice! I've been using mdiyo's updates on these mods for a while now. The SMP version of SuperSlopes has some minor texture issues - will you be updating that as well? And also, is it possible to port the Wallpapers and Timber Frames mods to Forge SMP? I wondered if it was a complicated task, given I've yet to see a version of them anywhere. They're too awesome not to have in SMP ><
Do not be surprised - my English is Google translate. I never play Minecraft without these mods:
ExtraBiomesXl, Industrial Craft, Build Craft, LCTrees++, Metallurgy, Railcraft, Smart Moving, Forestry, Jammy Furniture Mod, Kaevator Super Slopes, Xtra Blocks, ReiMinimap, CraftGuide.
When adding this into the mods folder, I get a black screen at starting minecraft :/
is this compatible with the latest forge version?? (forgemodloader + 4096 Fix in it etc.)
Can you give me the contents of your Forge Mod Loader log? You can find this under ".minecraft/ForgeModLoader-X.log" where X is the log number, the latest log would be the highest number.

I will be actively updating these mods but don't expect any spectacular new features. If you find that the texture issues occur in my build would you please be able demonstrate the issue to me with a screenshot.

Yes I have already updated SuperSlopes for SMP and I will be making a SMP version for both Wallpapers and Timber Frames.
Dude.. spoiler tags. Also, your error is with Better Blocks mod, not this one. If you're using the mod Grim's been updating, there are issues with it and Forge - pretty sure they edit some of the same classes. Try running your game without the SuperSlopes mod.
I can't change the IDs for this mod on my server. Each time i assign them to a free IDs, i start the server and its creates the default ids again in the slopes config.
Any way to force different ID's?
What version of forge are you using and on which operating system. I am using Forge 3.3.8.160 on Ubuntu 12.04 and I don't have any issues.
Edit: nvm taking a closer look the first config... it was just incomplete and by running it a second time new blocks gets added and those also need id changing... sorry for the confusion.
By the way, thanks for porting this mod.
No worries, I am just happy it has been resolved and that there isn't an issue with the mod itself. I am already having enough troubles trying to port Wallpaper and Timber Frames to SMP - I now know why no one has done it before... This will be helpful for those who have the same issue in the future.
id just like to state, this mod, and many others, are now being hosted here: http://grimsmods.wikispaces.com/ and will be updated to the latest MC versions. no offence, nice work on trying to do this, but this guy beat you too it. and bugs are fixed too.

This is my first publicly released mod so it is more for testing purposes and introduction to modding rather than success. However, correct me if I am wrong but they do not host SMP equivalents for Kaevators mods and none of the bugs that exist in my build have been fixed in the build hosted on that site.

I've summoned, crafted, and placed the vast majority of this version's slopes today (massive bug-hunting spree for new server build) and I've yet to find issue with anything. In fact, the ONLY issues I find with this update are the same ones I've had with the mod from day one - the need for better compressed metadata for fewer blockID use, and lack of proper capitalization in the tooltip descriptions. You seem to have done pretty tight work here.
In regards to Wallpaper and Timber Framing being difficult to port to SMP; wouldn't SMP versions of these work similarly to the Xtra Paintings mod, where you place a painting and just right-click through the cycle of textures? I'm no coder (or I'd gladly help) but I figured I'd point out the similarity anyway.
And to the above poster pointing out Meta was a bit late to the party, true - mDiyo updated the SSP version to 1.2.5 right after Kaevator made his exit, and simply linked the 1.2.4 server version in his thread. Grim has only SSP on offer from his site (vast majority of his mods are SSP anyway). Meta on the other hand has a (so far as I can tell) clean build for 1.2.5 SMP that works as intended. Just because you're the first doesn't make you the best.
Just to let you know and to make sure you know this is still active, I am almost complete the wallpaper server mod. It was quite a difficult and frustrating process but I learned a lot. This new knowledge will make porting Timber Frames much quicker, hopefully...
The only thing I need to fix is the lighting issues. The original wallpaper mod used a slight hack for lighting and this caused lighting issues with the day/night cycle (wallpapers appeared to glow at night on the server).
Other than that everything else seems to be working perfectly fine and when I fix the lighting issues it will be ready for release.
Any ETA on 1.3 compatibility, now that it's been pre-released, or should it still work as is?
As soon as Forge is available for 1.3 I will start working on 1.3 versions. If it is already available could you please point me to it since I have not seen a release for it yet.

Such awesome news to wake up to tonight Thank you!
.. and I feel bad making a request now. Maybe I should have done it this morning before I read the Wallpaper news. Ahh well Here goes.
I use the Xtra Blocks Mod on my server along with about 65 others, and the DIY nature of it is fantastic. My request is, would there be a (relatively painless) way to make a clone of the SuperSlopes mod with skinnable textures like this, that works in tandem with the original? I figured since it uses Forge, a custom terrain sheet with blanks where the original took its textures from could be doable. I've had a few people make the comment that they wished they could have basalt, marble, leaves, custom wood, carpeted, tiled slopes too without having to use a different texture pack. It may be too much to ask for a 1.2.5 release too, but perhaps as an idea for 1.3? Or would this request be better suited for the Xtra Blocks thread instead? Thanks for reading.

The server Wallpaper mod is actually complete, just the client mod is having issues with the lighting when on the server, and I don't want to release the server mod when there are issues like this on the client. So far I have found one solution, but the solution I found screws up ambient occlusion (smooth lighting). Once everything is working all nicely together I will upload the new server and client mod together, but the problem is that I don't know how long it will take me to fix these lighting issues.
For the skinnable texture request, it is something I will consider but its not at the top of my list right now and I probably wont start working on it until 1.3. However it is a great idea and it shouldn't be too hard to do when I get around to it.

You're the boss I'm happy you're working on Wallpaper/Frames at *all*, really - this would be an SMP first for them, and if we've been waiting since what, 1.6.6? we can hang out a while longer.
Also, thank you for considering my request. With 1.3 next week, I figured it'd be thoughtless to ask for a 1.2.5 release. I'm just glad this was the right place for it
Wallpaper 1.2.5 for SMP is finally comlete! Yes I do realize today is the release of Mincraft 1.3.1 but Forge has not yet been made available for 1.3.1; but when it is, I will start working as soon as possible to port the mods.
The new client release sports only a few noticeable changes like the new ambient occlusion rendering (better and more realistic smooth lighting), and the addition of new configuration options, but much of the code has been changed behind the scenes to allow this mod to work with the SMP counterpart.
The new server release comes with the same features as the client but when connecting to a server, the server's configuration options will override the client's configuration options.
Thanks a lot to Malivil for fixing the issues with the newer versions of forge in SuperSlopes!
