Is it possible for the ingots included in this mod, like copper and tin, to also use the similar ingots from other mods, such as forestry and Railcraft? I think it had to do with forge ore dictionary or something like that.
I'm not sure. I mean, all the recipes for things are there but it's very hard to see where to start. I would like to see something like Better Than Wolves mod has (found here: http://www.sargunster.com/btw/index.php?title=Ages ). It also has a wiki, and a beginner's guide similar to your survival guide, which is a good start by the way. But I do feel your guide is mostly how anybody would start in Minecraft anyway. I think you should have more instruction, and less explanation, leaving room for imagination and room for the player to create a world of their own.

You should write one and maybe he will use it if its good
You should try Adding an NEI add-on.. it'd help a lot to people who need the crafting recipes for anvil required items and stuff
I do have a recipe add-on. Unfortunately, it doesn't show how to use certain items and what items you make with it, etc. What I'm suggesting is a little more in-depth intro to the things you can do with this mod, not just the recipes.
what do you plan to add in later versions, and when do you plan on releasing a new test version?
what i'm working on now:
Repair hammers(3 tiers, ornate and normal)
*for mod compatability items will not require ingots and such to repair(as additional material is needed normally to weld broken tools, realistically, it can be done without)
*Hammers have a max repair value(eg. basic hammers can only repair upto 50% dura)
*also different amounts they repair(how much the bar goes up)
*Normal hammers can not repair enchanted items, ornate can repair anything
*hammers cant repair hammers
*silk touch hammers repair more effective
A few planned things
*Some sort of alternate hound training, to focus on a single trait quickly
*Tailoring, problems with this is if such came out; people would want clothing, then they would want dying, and there is no api support to allow that.
*Ranged weaponry expansion, as you know melee weapons branch for all purposes, there will likely later on be a total of 4 bow types and 4 crossbow types

Should work as long as their registered under the same id.

Well this branches out way more, is probably bigger and the content is far less simple. the BTW is a liner content group, while this(though liner, a lot of content branches off and could even be done whenever- aswell as some being it's own progress tree)

as i had said many times, installing the api for it requires a new decompilation, that takes a long time, so im leaving it to others.
a second problem is the multi-block items, as they don't use 1 gui for their display

That's what I mean. Since it branches out to much, all the info/possibilities are intimidating and it's hard to know where to start, and what to do next. I'm still playing around with the mod for sure, but I would like a little direction is all.
well the progression and where to start is there in the survival guide, the things to do on the side, are mainly used when you want to stop off and mess around.
just get started as the guide says. upon getting steel, that's the best time to start side-tracking
getting a server crash every time i try and put on dragon forge armor and from what i can tll any other type of armor after i get this crash

kay i guessed it I think it's an nei thing. do not put on armor in creative or creative plus mode.
As far as I know, the copper tools doesn't seem to be able to use Forestry's copper. Same thing goes for bronze tools, but I'd rather keep it to the Minefantasy way of making bronze.
*EDIT*You can use other mods' copper and tin to make bronze

Haha maybe eventually when I figure all of it out. Doubt it though.

Minefantasy copper works for other mods, but the copper from other mods doesn't work for Minefantasy recipes.
nothing big is out, just a few private servers
hm, probably, they can't be too easy to get or theyd eliminate the point of weight
what recipes?
*EDIT*You can use other mods' copper and tin to make bronze
