Without Forge and ModLoader, you'd only be able to run one or two mods at a time. Until Mojang comes out with an official modding API (which doesn't seem any nearer now than when they promised in Beta) if you want more than one new-content mod you have to live with them for now. It really isn't that hard -- install ModLoader once, install Forge once, download mods, put mods in /mods folder or in minecraft.jar, when mods update you download again, when Minecraft updates repeat process.
I know its not hard, ive done it many times. I just recall a version of the mod that didnt require Forge and was hoping id have one less thing to redownload and reinstall.
What IRC is the channel on? It just says 'Join us on Internet Relay Chat' on the first page. I'm getting an error while generating a map that I think is being caused by this...

Oh, sorry 'bout that. It's espernet. I'll go fill in that additional information.
K no probs. I got the problem fixed, turned out it was the seed I used. I let it generate a random one and it worked. Great mod, and loving the new stuff.

TDWP_FTW quit the team, and his add-on, with very little clarity on what we're allowed to do with it. Thus, it had to be discontinued, and until TD clears up some things, it'll have to stay discontinued.
But even if you have the add-on downloaded from a previous time and tried to install it would it be compatible with 2.0?
The update is really good but I thought it would be an option in the game that you could change the biome in the game and different chooses for biomes in different maps.
2.0 looks fantastic, although I'm super bummed that the RPG add-on isn't available anymore. I fell in love with the Maple Forest biome the moment I set eyes on one. I'm hoping that y'all can somehow get TDWP_FTW's permission to include his add-on in the main mod. It would be beyond amazing! Anyway, great job on the new update.
I feel I have taken too much space on this thread already, but I will say one last thing: I would very much like the RPG addon as well, with the control-biome config that the new 2.0 has if possible. Why? I love that mountain biome, with the giant firs on the massive peaks.

It has to do with terrain gen...until recently (the latest version of forge) terrain gen could only use custom blocks up to 256...I bet the conversion of the number to the format MC uses corresponded to an in use id...
This is fixed.
Hey so I am having the same problem that the guy was having with frames replacing EB2 blocks like Red Rock but I am on the most recent version of both mods.
Edit more info.
This appears to happen when using id's greater than 255. I have tested with both the reccommended and beta versions of forge and the 4096 fix.
Also having tried different id's above 255 I did make the Red Rock turn into neatherrack instead of frames I've also seen marble once.

I was getting the same error so there is an issue somewhere, I'm thinking its in IC2. Saw your solution and have to wonder if it'll turn up again as you explore.
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

Figured it out. Its the latest recommended version of Forge that's causing it.
That actually makes me happy to hear - not because of a failure on your part, but because I feared (I re-enabled biomes and still no 2x2 firs) that my computer was simply too weak to generate them.
I eagerly await 2.01, or whatever the fixed version is.
Thanks! Sorry if I came across as arrogant. I don't think I'm an arrogant guy...but I was feeling pretty smug when I responded to you the first time...
Every time I try and generate a new world after installing this mod, my hotbar, health, and food come up, but the rest of the screen is blank and then Minecraft crashed. I can't write down the exact error I get because it disappears in half a second.

I think I will stike with my older version for nwo then... I like my Cherry Blossoms too much to let them die like this o-o

I heard rumors that there was at least a nibble...but I'm not in the know about such things.
