I have a funny feeling that other people want you to use them more often too
Yeah, but product quality is more important to me than pleasing each and every single individual that comes along. Had I actually thought your idea was good enough, I would have responded positively. ^.^
Sadly though, your idea is one that I've seen far too much, and have said no to continually only to see it be suggested more and more.

You almost need a list of ideas that have already been denied...
Why wait for the API? It's perfectly good for use now.
Because,( I hope at least)the implementation of the API will allow me to turn the mod off and on at will.
Seeing as how I want to still be able to play on a wonderful vanilla server that I am currently a member on.
Plus, I have a Mac, and no idea if that would change installation, as well as me really not wanting to break my computer as I share it with my family.

Sorry, but I need to wait.
You don't need to turn off the mod to play on a vanilla server. The items and entities will still be enabled on your client, however while you're on the server you just won't be able to use anything from the mod. You'll still be able to do everything involved with vanilla. I've had hundreds of mods on my client before and still was able to play on vanilla servers with no issues.

Ohhhhhhh. I feel dumb now XD.
But, my other question... Will it be different to install it on a Mac? I need to know!
Can you put all the stuff that clay soldiers use on the clay soldiers tab or on a new one or something like that? Because I keep forgetting the stuff that they use! Thanks.
This is being considered, though we're not sure if we can actually do that yet. Maybe!
I got an idea, give cobble stone and they will make a armour plating for their leather armour.
Give a firework rocket and they will shoot a rocket down at the enemies!
Give a flower pot and they will get a helmet.
Give bone meal and they would be better attackers.
But I want mainly more vanity options.
Can you make it so that soldiers can only access chests when they are very close to it because soldiers were accessing chests behind fences!
1: That is what wool padding is for.
2: Pay more attention.
3: No headwear.
4: Bonemeal is already used.
5: Yes. I have about half a dozen planned. Including potentially more cape variety. Maybe masks too if you all behave yourselves.
6: This is a bug I believe caused by adding multiplayer compatibility. We may not be able to do much, but we'll see. For now I suggest keeping all boxes more than eighteen blocks away from anywhere soldiers might even just maybe can access.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind someone making a modern version of this mod, DO EET. Two variations made by different modders would be amazing if done right.
Yes they are, and I would really love to be able to use them in here more often D:

...you do realize that there is one on the first page, right?
Should we update the one that already exists?

Shouldn't be too different. There are videos and such showing how to install mods on a mac, you can go look for one of those if you want!

Maybe, or you could create a separated "Ideas" forum to keep this one clear.
Another person who's not read all of the first post! You people make me so proud ^.^
So right on the front page with all of the other information about the mod is a bad place for it?
Nope!
