There aren't any instructions for installing the additional patch. Also, I think you forgot to compile the patch, its .java files rather than .class files.

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

Oops, you're damn right. I accidentally packed the files from the wrong directory.
When using magic launcher it says there is no forge. But I thought I don't need forge? Should I give it a shot? http://puu.sh/1FNg8
Forge isn't required. Maybe Magic Launcher is confused by the Forge meta data that is included in case Forge is installed. I guess you can ignore the warning.
i'm looking forward into this mod for recordings of camera studio recordings but for me the preloadChunks function is't working how it should work.
the problem is that it runs because i can see the freezes minecraft makes to load the junks but some junks wont get loadet fast enought and getting more and more unloadet junks. i already changed the recording directory to another hard drive but it still doesn't load how it should. (i try to make a fast fly throu a large area and it just doesn't load all the junks before it continues recording)
if this is already fixed i'l wait for camerastudio to be updated. if not and this problem is rare i would do anything possible to help you fixing / optify this feature. it would be perfect for this.
Edit:
here is a video of the problem rendered:
The video wont be so fast in the final render but i don't want to upload 3 mins of video. and the speed doesn't change something
EDIT2!:
i found the problem.
If you have advanced OpenGL turned on it will cause this bug. so you should write it into the config file for the other persons who want to use this feature.
Edit3 :/
Optifine also causes that minema can't freeze the game for loading the junks so ther the far view goes but still extreme usefull.
cool mod i love it.
The chunk preloading feature has become somewhat unreliable since MC 1.3. It used to work pretty well, even when OptiFine is installed, but now it's pretty unpredictable. Maybe the advanced OpenGL features is one of the reasons, I'll check that. The other reason is probably the fact that the world must be loaded both on the client and server, and my chunk preloading implementation only works for one of the both sides.
I would like to know two things, for that I was reading throught the post, but never found the answers...
Firstly is the mod multiplayer?, becuase I am planing to film my server with shaders, and my computer only gets 15 fps with it, and I was hoping I can record it and recieve a higher fps.
And secondly, when you say the game slows down, furing the slow down, how much fps does it record just to know? cuase I would like to record some slow motion shots, without it having this lag look into it.
If you'd like to see what i'm talking about (I can't specifcaly post the world publicly, maybe in a pm?), you could either pm me to schedule a time when I could personally show you on the server.
Otherwise Minema is really really awesome
What i'm using:
Magic Launcher
Forge for 1.4.6
Minema for 1.4.6
Camera Studio for 1.4.6
SEUS v10R6 for Optifine 1.4.6 A2 Ultra
Optifine 1.4.6 A2 Ultra
The mod does not speed up your game! instead of skipping frames like the normal minecraft, it forces the game to output a set amount of frames every second of in-game time. This means it slows your minecraft waaaaaay down (this mod is not meant for normal recording). if there's a lot going on, one frame might take hours in real time.
But, because the mod saves one copy of every frame, it doesn't matter. When you later watch the footage it will look nice and crisp. The lag you have while recording doesn't matter, it will not show up on the footage!
You can change the fps by which the mod records(this again is in-game time) in /.minecraft/config/minema.cfg as well as some other options.
So if you want to record a slowmotion shot, you set the fps really high (like 150 or something), this will slow down your recording like crazy. But the footage will come out nice and pretty.
i'm not sure if the mod works on multiplayer since the server and client will start to run out of sync, but someone might be able to answer you better then me.
Thanks, well you answered one of my questions, lets just hope soon someone can answer if the mod can be used in multiplayer.....
I appear to be having issues recording my own voice with the video as I record, I tried the enable stereo mix but all I got was a lot of nothing for voice
It does, but I cant remember how... Look at the main post, I remember it was there.
I saw nothing. The only information I saw was information about recording audio from your computer (not Minecraft audio). Although I did find in the 1.5 changelog information regarding in-game sound recording, in-game sounds are not being recorded.
Hi, I have trouble with recording. It's maybe just because I am stupid, but I can't make it to record video, it just make pictures (I know, it's new feature when trouble with encoding). I put x264 in my bin folder but nothing happend. I have win7 64bit so I tried 64 8bit depth, then 32 one, then the old one from previous version but nothing at all happend. Is there any another encoder I could use? Or can you help me which one I should have? You don't have to rename it or put it elsewhere, do you?
Thanks all for help
EDIT1: I tried it on more PCs now. No idea what do I do wrong.
I remember I edited the minema.cfg (the configuration) and it fixed the issue. I don't remember what setting it was, but I know there is a setting which fixes your issue.
Ok, can someone tell me what VLC media player does, before I install it, because I am getting the same black screen, and when I try to export it to sonyvegas.. the sound ends up exporting, but the video file couldnt been open.....
Okey, I tried it but without any effect. I rewrote way to program but nothing happend. Couldn't find any other options which could make this.
In your Minecraft folder -> config -> minema.cfg set video.imageFiles to false.
Remember, if you are upgrading Minema from version 1.5 to version 1.6, you have to delete the minema.cfg.
hello, sorry for bringing this back up, but when I use Minema, and I record a video, which goes to the folder which I direct it to....
It seems to have a problem, because I have the encoder in my minecraft.bin and when I try to open the video its pitch black, the audio works, but the video doesnt, can someone tell me what I did wrong so I can fix it.
I used 64bit 8bit-depth encoder... And my system is a 64bit operating system.
But how?

Is this an issue with ModLoader, or with minema?
You also need to install an encoder, as explained in the first post.
mod_UpdateManager is neither part of ModLoader, nor of Minema. There must be something else installed.
Oops, you're damn right. I accidentally packed the files from the wrong directory.
The correct file should be uploaded now.
Download the patch again and put it in your minecraft.jar or load it with Magic Launcher.

First video of 2013.
In case you moved it to the correct location, Minema should use it automatically.

Just trying to bump this question. I've had this problem for a while and haven't had it truly answered (correctly).
