Hello I tried to see if someone else had had this problem but when I go to use this mod in the MagicLauncher the status it gives me is not compatible. That is with both Ultra and normal versions. Would like to know if there is something that I missed.
I have discovered that my graphics card is ALWAYS really hot, and that my framerate issue appears to be a Java problem, as other Java games experience this abnormal slowdown. Now I need a way to fix this.
EDIT: Oh, but wait. I don't see any spikes in memory or CPU usage, perhaps the video card is just throttling itself?
Hi guys. i keep on experiencing crashes with any and every version of optifine compatible with 1.5.1. I've tried different forge versions, but i've noticed that my crash only happens when using multimc. Note that i do play with a lot of mods.
my crash log (or at least the part that i believe matters):

It should not crash at this place.
Added workaround to ignore and continue.
I installed it with Magic Launcher and now every time I open Minecraft the mod won't work. It's like it isn't there.
When I open Minecraft THROUGH Magic Launcher it works fine, until I join a world. When I join a world Minecraft closes after 2-3 seconds. Can someone help?
SoartexFanver here, I maintain the Soartex texture pack.
I made changes to a number of the Soartex CTM features so that Soartex would be compatible with Optifine. Now that Optifine has biome and height support with CTM, I can fix the things I intentionally broke. These changes will appear in Soartex 2.4.4, which won't be ready for a few more days.
So while CTM may have problems with these new rules, Soartex may not be a good pack to test these with because I've rigged it funny to hide biome and height bugs that were around before C7.
CTM should be working again in C8.
It also adds support for multipass CTM (random connected bookshelves, etc).
I have a Idea that would be helpful for some people. Entity Render limiter. Basically past a certain number the limiter will stop rendering entitys (data wise still there and can be interacted with just not loaded to the video card visually)..
this would help older Laptops and PCs that have trouble even below 50 entitys (i have no problem with nearly a thousand) it would also help with mass structures like wheat farms that can produce several thousand entitys in a instant by limiting the number of Drop Entitys rendered.
Should prioritize Mob Entitys to render first, then items second in customizable ratio. Should also be set to render closer entitys first, so that if a enemy nearby is close enough to attack, it will be rendered so the player can see it but a enemy too far to have any effect will simply not be visable.
the idea is to control what is actually sent to the render engine, it might not be a easy thing to program, but i have seen in it other games as a way to control visual lag in online settings. In minecraft it might be a useful thing to have, particuallry in online settings or on older systems. this will not prevent the entity from loading and being interactable in minecraft... just prevent a excessive amount from clogging the video card with excessive calculations that are not always needed.
This problem arises when i use Optifine C8 Preview
Sorry it couldnt be in a spoiler. This happens when i use Optifine C8 Preview.
everything turns blue, and it looks stupid.
the only thing i have installed is optifine. help?

On Mac OS X 10.8.2, when I try to install this after Forge, I receive the following crash at startup: http://pastebin.com/vvVhJptz
This has happened since the start of 1.5.1 with any combination of Forge and Optifine.
I am using Optifine C8 preview and Forge 667, Forge installed first, then Optifine.
I've used Optifine with MCPatcher plenty. You will need to make sure you un-check ALL of the default mods that come with MCPatcher first, such as "Connected Textures", "HD Font", etc.
Actually, MCPatcher is the only way I've ever installed Optifine.
i notice when i have optifine installed, pressing f9 shows me these red and green grid lines from the ground to the sky. I was wondering why and if there is a way to disable this? thanks
pressing f9 once: http://imageshack.us...30423210828.png
pressing f9 a second time: http://imageshack.us...30423210832.png
pressing f9 a third time makes all the red and green grid lines go away
without optifine installed, there are no red and green lines when pressing f9. I have tried both the ultra and standard version of optifine and the problems are still there when pressing f9.
I went back to minecraft v1.4.7 and v1.4.5 (and installed optifine) to check if this was a computer related issue or optifine related. It appears pressing f9 for v1.4.5 and v1.4.7 does not show the red and green lines.
It would be very appreciative if someone has a solution for this problem. Thank you to all

F9 ist not an vanilla or OptiFine key.
It is used by the Light Level Overlay mod, which you probably have installed.
