As you can see, it turns everything blue. The main menu and inventory are unaffected, but yeah...I'm using the latest version of Optifine Ultra, and the recommended version of Forge (6.6.0.497). I tried it with 6.6.0.518 as well, like it says in the opening post, but it's still happening. I made sure to install Optifine after Forge of course, and it works fine without Forge, so I don't know what could be causing it, aside from Forge.
I tried it with 6.6.0.518 as well, but it still happened.
thanks

These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
Try updating your Forge to the most latest version there is... I play FTB with OptiFine installed and I believe the Forge version on there is 553 or something similar.
Extreme Render Distance is probably the problem.
Also Chunk Loading -> Default and update Forge.
Any fix?

The graphics driver has a problem when LWJGL sets the VSync flag.
Updating the graphics driver may help.
I'm on an i7 as well. Multicore has never been good for me. I'm about to try the Smooth edition. Not sure how it will go. I tried the Ultra, but it has a very bad bug where blocks don't refresh when I destroy certain blocks; sugarcane and redpower 2 red wires, mostly. They stay attached to blocks or in mid air, and they still register as solid objects. Sugarcane gets destroyed if I hit it again, but red wire doesn't. I have to quit and reload the save to force it to refresh.
My current setup is:
Optifine Ultra D5
FTB/Mindcrack (8.1.1) w/ Soartex Texture pack.
nVidia 670 w/threaded optimization disabled (globally)
i7, etc, etc
For the most part everything works fine. I especially like the new fonts. I can't really see a great deal of difference in the mipmap and AA settings (graphically), but no real loss in FPS, either. However, there are a couple of small and one medium-sized problem I am having.
Small--no clouds. I get them in vanilla, but not in Soartex or Opti (may be a Soartex issue)
--no clear water (changing this setting has no effect)
Medium problem....which is actually enough of a problem to keep me from playing with Opti enabled...XY-based blocks. I've built a lot of stuff with these blocks (shield, structure, plate, etc) and no matter what setting I use (and I spent almost 1.5 hours going through *each* combination of settings in Optifine), there are flashing graphical anomalies that appear on these blocks. If I look at the blocks straight on, no problem, but if I turn even a little the artifacts appear on the blocks causing them to flash. After a few seconds, my eyes and brain fuss at me and I have to leave the area. This effect does not occur in vanilla or with Soartex.
Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks again!
Sorry, I'm a newb. I just needed to do a jar rebuild in MultiMC. That is apparently when it processes the instMods contents.
