I am having a problem with this plugin, whenever I try to play a single player world, Minecraft crashes. Multiplayer works perfectly.
Here is the crash report I am getting, I think something to do with loading chunks? I don't know for sure, but any help would be appreciated!

There is only one thing separating this from perfection...Better skies support....once that comes out i'll dump mcpatcher for good and will start only using this...

I've been using Optifine for a while (since 1.7?) so I guess I've gotten desensitized to it. I loaded up the 1.4.6 update without any mods and I was surprised to find the world loading ... very slowly. Extremely slowly. The kind of slow that made me wonder, "What the ****? Is it broken?" Then I remembered to threw Optifine in and voila, back to the good ol quickness.
So yeah, still impressive work; I guess its easy to miss how impressive when you get used to it, so here's a brand new kudos for you.
optifine ultra 1.4.6 gives me a black screen even after I delete meta file.
Well, you did something wrong. Delete the bin folder. Download minecraft. Close minecraft. Open the minecraft.jar with winRAR. Open optfine. Drag contents from optifine into minecraft.jar. Delete META-INF. Start minecraft. Profit.

Exact same thing happen to me. I hit F3 and saw great frame rates, but everything was somewhat laggy when I moved around, and underwater it felt choppy. Threw Optifine in and poof, everything was back to "normal". Amazing. Although with Ultra, my trees seem to be flickering, never had that issue before, hopefully it's resolved for me when standard/AA comes out.
I've been having some texture issues with the BDCraft Texture Pack lately, and when I checked the FAQ for the pack, it recommended downloading/installing Optifine to deal with the texture issues. I've downloaded Optifine, but now whenever I try to patch it into my .JAR file, Minecraft black screens right after I log in. Any idea why this might be happening?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm running Minecraft on a Windows PC, and I've made sure to delete the META-INF folder and copy only the class files. I've also downloaded MCPatcher, and while it amends the black screen issue, it doesn't fix the initial texture issue.
I have contacted the maker of this mod with no reply. My FPS has dropped from being 80-90 to being 35-45 after updating to 1.4.6 Ultra. Same exact settings.

There are 27,000 replies to this topic. But don't worry, I am sure he's going to ignore everyone else and get right on your personal problem, for which you've provided no system specs, background or description of.

OptiFine and MCPatcher don't play nice together. Try it without MCPatcher.
You mean delete MCPatcher completely, or just patch OptiFine in and leave it be?
(Sorry, I'm terrible at mod installation.)
Completely remove one or the other (and possibly rebuild your MC jar or download a clean installation), there are workarounds but if you are "terrible at mod installation" you probably don't want to hassle with it.
If anyone could help me with this, it would be great! I am still running on 1.4.5, as the main server I play on has not updated yet. So, I got magic launcher, and a new minecraft folder. I installed optifine for 1.4.5, and it seems to be working fine. However, whenever I go to play in a world, the screen just turns blue and it crashes. I will give a crash report:

Until I get help, I'll have to play without Optifine. I played for a few seconds though, and my FPS wasn't increased at all, but still, I like the zooming feature. Thank you.
Hi, got a CTM problem with Optifine. I'm making a 16X16 texture pack. I have a problem with the sandstone connecting with the other textures in the CTM.png. Glass and bookshelves work fine but the only sandstone that pops up is the "side" entry. After trying various combinations of Optifine and mods, I still can't get it to work. When I place a sandstone block on top of another the top most block doesn't change to the CTM blocks but the under block does. (I tested this by adding a 1 - 4 on each block in the CTM.png)
I wonder if it hasn't been noticed because most texture packs don't change sandstone very much. Regardless, the "top", "side" and "bottom" all aren't working.
Here is a link where you can see that 1 "top", 2 "side w/top" and 4 "bottom" aren't using the CTM.png. http://db.tt/pOO63TxH
Here is the crash report I am getting, I think something to do with loading chunks? I don't know for sure, but any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
