How many dependancies do you guys think will be in the 1.3 version? i mean, forge 1.3.2 includes modloader and modloaderMP, and turbomodelthingy doesn't even look like its updated yet.
what do you think?
also, i'm the twenty-two thousand, six hundred and twenty-first person to post! woohoo!!
I'm very afraid for this mod. I loved using Flan's, but i started updating my minecraft past 1.2.5 at a certain point. This kinda feels like a Kaevator Situation, too many updates to update something so big, not to mention personal life. It seems like none of the big mods can update to the next versions with so many updates coming nonstop.....

Bear in mind that he is skipping 1.3.x as 1.4 came out so soon after...
1.4.3 update is coming soon so get ready to update the mod for that update :3
That should be a simple update... 1.4.3 should basically have similar (Possibly identical) code structure to 1.4.2. Just like 1.2.3, 1.2.4, & 1.2.5 mods all being reasonably compatible with any of those 3 versions...
Let me say this. I don't mind flan and his team taking a break, but now that he is skipping 1.3.2, it'll take even longer. Quickly losing interest.
It really shouldn't take much longer. 1.3-1.4 is a small change in modding terms. Look at IC2, they managed to update within a day or two of 1.4, as it was a small change. Railcraft actually updated to 1.4 the day BEFORE it came out. It's a small change compared to 1.2.5-1.3, that's the change that's giving Flan & his team so much trouble. Also appears to have been giving Eloraam a hard time too... Not sure how though.

I understand all of this. I really need to learn java soon.
jamioflan, don't even bother trying to update to 1.4.2. Mojang is rapidly putting out a f*ck ton of updates really close together like a$$holes. Giving modders a hard time. I wouldn't even worry about updating until december. The updates will have probably slowed down by then. But for now, just focus on your academic work. We can wait.
Yeah I wish Mojang would just stop updating the game. That was modders could just update one last time and be done with it. I personally was content with 1.2.5. They should've ended it there.
I'm with you. Mojang continues to update a game that is almost perfect. There are a few bugs; however, they are from recent content add-ins.

So how do you explain over 100 bugs that they've fixed for 1.4.3? Also, they have a plan for what they want to get done/added for Minecraft and obviously they're going to try and get it done quickly.
so i instaleld it all is good accept the block ID's for the 3 crafting benchs are occupied by redpower so here is my short and quick question, where is the block ID config file for this mod? or will that screw over the packs?

Well, that would be an exception. As for the continuous updates, they could wait a month or 2 instead of next week.

I assume the 1.4.3 update will be one of those where previous version mods will work fine with it, if not, there shouldn't be much to be changed.
I'm not sure, but we'll see.

That would mean that each update would have very large amounts of changes and that modders would have even more to do to update their mods and it would take longer.

Those Block ID's cannot be changed at the moment. However you can change Redpower ID's to accomadate the plane benches.
Read the top of the first post, he says he is updating it.

To 1.4, not 1.3.2.

Depends on if anyone decides to port it for Flan after he finishes or if he decides to do it himself...
