NOTE: I have halted work on this pack. I currently have different priorities. If there is a bug brought to my attention, I will attempt to repair it, but no new or updated textures.
If you like this pack, please leave a comment, so others can find it more easily.
This pack requires MCpatcher to get the full experience. If you choose not to use MCpatcher, you are missing important pieces, and some things, like dispensers, may look strange.
I started this pack in January, when I looked at the texture packs I was using, and said, "Hold on a second, I could do better than that!" Naturally, my first textures were terrible, but I soon got better. I hope you enjoy my pack, I have worked hard on it!
My main inspirations came from Summerfields, and Soartex. I have done most of the blocks, some of the items, a few of the mobs, and about half of the GUI. I have either drawn the textures in gimp, modeled them in blender, or taken pictures of them in real life.Sometime in the future, I will create a 64x version for people that can't play with 128x, but that won't be coming very soon. I will probably want to finish this version first.
I don’t like this stuff either, but it’s necessary so people don’t steal my work.

Hmmm... I admit I don't really like it overall, but here goes:
Bad:
-Most things unfortunately
-The MC logo is too underdetailed (I'm guessing that's a placeholder)
-Sidegrass and sidesnow doesn't match at all for some reason
-Cobblestone looks hard to work with, while stone and dirt are too plain in comparison
-Ore shapes look really really weird.
-That gold sword's blade should feel more flat. Right now it looks like a cone (add a sharp edge)
-Redstone stuff looks inconsistent - The torch is cartoony, the 'cable' is flat colored and the pistons don't match either
but...
Good:
-The font
-Some ideas (The butterflies are an adorable touch, and bluestone looks fun)
-Leaves
-Logs, particularly the birch
-Glass
-The crafting table (?), but I feel it should be more sturdy. Right now it feels too flimsy. Maybe make the legs thicker and add some drawers?
-Water
You show promise, but I'm afraid you'll need to improve. Maybe try with lower resolutions? Anything above 32x is actually hard to pull of convincingly.

Yep, I plan on detailing the MC logo.
Sidesnow was one of the first textures I ever made, and I haven't changed it yet.
I'm slowly working on cobblestone, may have to totally redo it. And look at the dirt close up, it is pretty detailed. The stone, I've found, only looks good to my eyes if its pretty simple. Or maybe I just screw it up when I detail it!
How are the ores shaped badly? I don't like the circle ones, and the redstone needs some work. But aside from that, why are they weird?
Again, the sword was a placeholder. I'll do it eventually!
The torch is cartoony. I fixed it, but I forgot to put it back in my texture pack folder. The redstone wire, I do need to add some more shading. And the pistons, how don't they match?
I really like it, but I don't like the ores with the circles. The ores are my favourite things to make, but it looks like you really haven't been bothered. It looks like you've just used the circle tool and put a few circles down.
Guilty as charged! I don't like them either. I'm going to mess with them a bit in the future.
The Logs are very nice, i think the glowstone looks a little too much like the one in soartex. The thing that is bugging me though is the tall grass, the shading on it just looks too dark, it looks like the kind that would be in an Cartoonish-Rpg pack but your normal grass is very flat. I think the two types are too contrasting of each other. Purple and magenta wool (i think) look too similar colour wise, the purple should be considerably darker. As for the ores the coal and lapis look great but the iron and diamond chunks look a little out of place; the big chunks look too big and look like they have just been stuck on top of the image. Other than those points everything else is looking good.
I saw the one in soartex, and I liked it. I decided to do the same sort of thing. I didn't use it as a base, or anything. Looking back at it now, I think I ought to change it, it looks a lot like the one in soartex.
The tall grass, I plan on adjusting the contrast a bit, and adding random varieties.
Yeah, your right, looking at it again, the purple wools are a bit off.
I disagree. I like the big chunks, although I could use some work on my shading, but I hate the lapis and coal. They don't really fit into the ore theme I want going on.
Your leaves, logs and glowstone look pretty cool, but your clouds are a little too blue (which render mode did you use?) and your main menu text looks a little flat. There are stars in front of your moon too
Oh, and I'm pretty sure that I've seen the crafting table and glass ideas somewhere else before
I actually want to go in and take out some of the lower clouds, to just have those crests showing, and opacify (is that even a word?) the top clouds some.
How does my text look flat? Should I shade it some?
Yes, I know there are stars on the moon. I have tried to get rid of them, but to no avail.
Crafting table idea is from samohtj's fancy shmancy, but I made the glass just from me. Where did you see it?
How are the ores shaped badly? I don't like the circle ones, and the redstone needs some work. But aside from that, why are they weird?
For one thing - You didn't embed them. So they look just pasted on. This is a pretty common error.
I do like shard-y ores, but the random triangle chunks make it look too artificial, a emeral and diamond (?) are odd because the wider edge of the shard should be coming from the center. It kinda looks like someone took a shard and stabbed it into it.
The torch is cartoony. I fixed it, but I forgot to put it back in my texture pack folder. The redstone wire, I do need to add some more shading. And the pistons, how don't they match?[size=medium]
You know, literally. They don't match up when opened.
And they feel too detailed next to the torch and wire
The snow isn't as smooth as everything else. It feels rather jagged, and seems to have been cut off in a few places. It could also do with a fair bit more anti-aliasing.
Much better, though there are still some icicles that end in a flat edge. Also, that one icicle that is larger than the others could prove to be a pretty noticeable tiling error.

Ok, is this better?
I think I might add random ctm to this and the sidegrass.
I've been having trouble inseting the ores, does anyone have any tips?
Perhaps add a slight blue tint to the under side, it still seems a bit to hard, snow is meant to be light and fluffy (IMO)
I actually tried that, when I was getting the feel for how its going to look, and I didn't like it very much. I more like the feel of icicles hanging down.
I fixed the glowstone, thank you for pointing that out! I didn't realize just how much it did look like soartex.
New Old
I just changed the pattern, I hope its enough! I think the old one still looks better though.... Oh well!
How about getting rid of the edging, increase the brightness, should look like the old one, just a different shape.
I played with the brightness/contrast a bit, and I came out with a slightly better one. I found that the old glowstone looks almost identical ingame, though! (not in shape, but in composition.)
I guess I was looking at it a bit too close up.
I redid the cobble, I wasn't happy with my earlier one.
Again I'll fix the pattern errors with random CTM.
I'm not getting much community feedback... Is this good enough to release with a download link? (once I've fixed all the things I've been meaning to fix)
Also, since it's a WIP, should I release it in texture discussion, or texture packs, because it's pretty mature?
Trust me, this is a lot of community feedback, no one seems to comment unless its a "Big-time" / famous/well known texture artist. It sucks, i know...
Im straying from the question, Yes, yes i think you should release a download.
Ok, yeah, looking at other packs, there getting just about as much community feedback as me!
But what do you think, should I make a new thread in the texture packs section, or mess with this thread a bit?

If you can't decide whether you're ready for a release, you're probably not ready for a release. Stay here where you're sure to get more feedback, at least until you know you're ready. And when you do eventually transition, don't make a new topic. Report yourself and have it moved.

Yes, I'm not sure how I'm going to fix that. I wonder if opened pistons have different metadata values..... On to the wiki!
I might outline it a bit more.
I also fixed the redstone torches, wire, snowsides, and pistons, the latter being such a minor change, I didn't post a picture.
Ok, is this better?
I think I might add random ctm to this and the sidegrass.

Looking good!
I found this thread by drfrozenfire from a looooong time ago that gives some tips on how to embed ores. It should help.
I actually tried that, when I was getting the feel for how its going to look, and I didn't like it very much. I more like the feel of icicles hanging down.

I might have gone a bit overboard with the cracks....
Thanks! This helped a lot.
I made the dispenser.

I am having trouble with curse pack hosting, so it may be a little while before I get a download link up.
