I was just going to ask something about that. So I assume there is an option somewhere in optifine that allows you to turn off the custom mod textures? Still setting up my upcoming let's play and just reset all the mods so they running on default atm.
I'm not sure about Optifine's options, but if you want the varied villagers without the biome creepers, simply delete the "creeper" folder in the texture pack. Find it here: assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/mob/
The mod support really gave you an unfair advantage over the others too XD Too bad all the mods can't use your wonderful textures =\
Did you see the following comments from earlier in this thread? I'd make a similar agreement for a mod that wanted Lithos-derived textures.

Third Party Mod Support:
Even though the vanilla part of Lithos isn't done, i'd like to improve it's mod support. This all becomes simpler in 1.7, since multiple packs can stack.
I don't have it all hammered out, but the basic idea is i'd let other artists modify Lithos art for mod support. They would be required to credit and link to Lithos, or course, and would be allowed to host the files where they wanted, even behind adfly. If it was up to Lithos quality (or close enough) i'd link back to the add-on pack from Lithos' pages, and/or a central 3rd-party mod support list.
I see it as a win/win. My pack gains more popularity due to more mod support, and other artists can piggy-back on Lithos modest success for downloads of derivative packs, and/or practice with some nice existing art.
Also, not sure if I mentioned these mods before, but they are some other to consider supporting: Ore Drop Mores 2, Dimensional Anchor/Chicken Chunks, Crystal Wing, TF2 Teleporters, More Furnaces/Better Furnaces, and maybe Inventory Saver (the bag block thing and the interface). It would also be cool to see a Lithos style skin for Damage Indicators, Craft Guide (if they got that working yet), and Direction HUD. And maybe even Mutant Creatures, although that is a bit bigger than most I mentioned (usually 1-5 blocks). Just some ideas anyway; either way I doubt you will run out of things to add anytime soon =P
Thanks for noting about the creepers.
And I typoed a bit there. I meant more of too bad mods can't all have textures of your quality, more than use your current textures or variations (so they would look better and match). Some of the mods in my let's play (like Scapecraft) add a lot of new items and while some could possibly be variations of lithos textures, many like the new items and armors would probably need new textures all together. Such mods are too big for me to suggest to have lithos support and I don't think anyone will be too interested on reworking textures to match lithos and other such texture packs. Maybe someday though, who knows =P
The new cross hairs are so big, it's very distracting especially since the color on the sides are different than the main part. It's not a big deal as I can just edit it myself but I just figured I would mention it.

I tend to have the opposite problem, the old cursor was pretty small, and sometimes got lost. Of course my screen is higher than average resolution, which makes a difference. We'll see what other feedback we get on it.

Personally I had no issue with it. I think it is pretty nice, but I also forget it is there 90% of the time so...

Yeah I think part of it is that I normally play with Minecraft in a tiny window while I do work or watch videos. If I played full screen I doubt I would even notice it.
This is the actual size of the window I play with, I'm sure I'll be the only one bothered by it, and it's no big deal, I can just change it myself after all. Thanks for the reply though, I really like your texture pack! ^^

For those of you who like to use Mods, please give me a list of the top three mods you would like to see Lithos-styled. I make no guarantees about which mods i'll add, but that will allow me to make a more informed decision.
This texture pack has became my favorite, I cant wait for the animal textures and the other things left, anyways it is the one that explode my mind
Thanks! I've for enough of the pack done that I feel I can slow down a bit and spend time making things fancy. I'll probably continue to do a mob or two per release with variants like the villagers & creepers when it makes sense.

Just 3? Hmm...
Well I think the main one I'd love to see is Ore Drop Mores 2 because I use it for nearly everything and it doesn’t have too many textures.
Next is More Furnaces. It only adds 5 new furnaces/blocks to the game, but their textures are a bit lacking. I prefer this mod over Better Furnaces, but both mods do share 3 furnaces (iron, gold, and diamond).
And lastly, I'd say NetherStuffs. This mod is bigger, but I use it often and I'd love to see lithos textures on it, mainly the nether ores, so they would blend with the nether netherrack. It also adds some new trees and such that would be nice to see new textures for.
...because I use it for nearly everything and it doesn’t have too many textures.
Feel free to not take that into account when you guys list your three mods. I'm more likely to add mods that are easier to add, but i'm the best judge of what's easy, and more importantly, if everyone wants a complicated mod-- like Biomes O Plenty-- and lists it, it is a lot likelier to get textured, than if everybody just lists mods they think i will add. Partial mod support is an option too.

My list still stands. I guess I tried a bit of both. But those are the mods I use very often that I really would love to see new textures for. The other mods I use a lot are mostly already added. And a lot of other mods I use tend to be very big, but also one time things more or less (e.g. I only use Scapecraft for the one series meant for it), so I doubt they would be popular enough either ways =P
Although, if I were to just add another as a side note...Tinkerer's Construct. I really do love the mod, but I don't get to use it that much. And that has so much to it that it may be tricky to do (also a lot are items and not blocks so not the best to benefit from texture packs probably). Still, let's call that an honorable mention XD

Yeah, make a resource pack isnt a easy task. Well I suggest for Mod Support Thaumcraft, it is difficult but with enough time it is possible.
P.D.: I dont know about mods, because I only use Optifine and Thaumcraft, but I like the idea of having a Resource pack that is compatible with mods, I dont know it is nice and help the mod makers to forget about the mod textures.
It seems the new poll doesn’t like me >.> Keep getting an error saying I didn't vote for each question when I did -.-
Anyway, I usually use Lithos with mods for the moment anyway. Although since forge won't be 1.7 for weeks probably, most mods will be 1.6 for a while so I will probably be primary doing stuff in 1.6 until Jan/Feb if I had to guess, and maybe after that. Still, the 1.7 version works fine on 1.6 so...
As for updates, I prefer it be a worthwhile update. And by that I mean adding support to all/most of a new mod even if it isn't a big mod or finishing a new batch of textures, like the villagers or creepers. Although if one is taking a while, I wouldn't want to see you update it with half just so it updates and would rather see the entire thing finished.
And I think the main thing I like is that it looks good. It has enough of vanilla/faithful that I still can easily tell what everything is while making things look better (glass and enchantment tables for example). And I do like that it is supporting mods too, since some like enchanting plus really did need new textures...
I want to say something regarding the questions asked in the polls.
I use Lithos for 1.7 because it is a resource pack that I like the most out of the rest that are available here, even if its unfinished(as far as I remember, its been like two weeks since the last time I played Minecraft,so..),but once mods will be available to be added to 1.7,I doubt that I will use this or any other resource pack pretty much like I did back in 1.5.2 untill I discovered the ability to mod the game, because most mods have vanilla textures and I really hate how there are two different texture qualities and patterns in the same prespective,Its all matter of taste and I'm pretty sure that I am not the only one who thinks like that.
To sum up,your resource pack is awesome,it looks damn good!

Yah, texture packs and lots of mods at least do have issues. The only one that I really have any issue with are the ores and other world gen blocks. They just stick out soo much more then. It makes me wonder why the mods don't code it so it says "show stone with this image of the ores over it" so it would adjust to the new textures =\ I'm sure there is a reason, but hopefully there will be some lithos mod textures for such ores eventually.

The purple one only generates under special conditions, which IMHO will make some sense when you find it naturally.

1.7 is overwhelmingly the version people use Lithos with, and
There's a strong majority in support for "A little mod support is better than none."
