I LOVE YOU!!! i hope you dont mind, but i have this texture pack called miny HD and i NEEDED some chests+ crafting tables and you are my answer!!! thank you and i will give you full credit!
No worries, tj. I'm glad my texture has somewhere else it can call home :smile.gif:
And thank you, again, for the compliments from everyone who likes this texture. I'm a bit blown away by it. Like Glimmar said, I just reckon old worn stuff has lots of character. And for me it brings back fond memories of childhood and days gone by. The town I grew up in had a lot of character. But the unstoppable march of progress and greed has torn down all the old buildings. The new stuff is almost always cold and without character. Very sad.
If anyone has suggestions or other items they'd like to see me add then let me know. I'll try to oblige. Maybe in time we'll end up with a full pack. :biggrin.gif:
I just realised that I used pixel-resizing instead of smart-resizing for some steps when I was working on this. Here's an update that fixes most of the affected parts. It's a subtle change. I reckon it looks a little better. I also adjusted the chisel shadow by one pixel. Important stuff!

Looking really good ozBillo!

I heard spades and pickaxes speed up destroying blocks, not sure if it's true though :/
Cracked glass in one corner of the window maybe?
Musket ball shot lead smear in same corner of the window frame as the cracked glass?
They leave pretty big holes, but often don't go through timber from a glancing shot, so a near miss, perhaps aimed at someone seen through the window...
I know bullet holes are something of a cliche in video game textures, but I thought it fitted the pirate feel of the chest and craft bench.
Might I suggest a cast iron or brass cannon for dispenser texture? Powder kegs and cannon sound perfect for the pirate galleon partner built!
Brass edged portholes for glass blocks? Weathered timber framing like the door?
And btw, the chest, door and craft bench you have done so far are damm impressive!
If this is gonna be one of those "I wasn't expecting it to become a full blown texture pack.." sort of thing, then I'd have to say it'll be worth the unexpected weight. :biggrin.gif:
So far, I love all of these textures, and I'm in need of a theme such as this one right now...
WOW... this is just amazing. I really hope you decide to make this into a pack...I know it would be my favorite if you did make it into a pack...and your stuff doesnt go too well with other packs in my opinion.
I really like the broken glass idea, DarkMother. I've started working on that.
But I'm not committed to a pirate theme. I 'spose I'm just going for a general battered and old kind of thing. For now...
(Edit) I just got what you meant by the porthole idea. I'm a bit slow, I know. It's a good idea.

i honestly dont know what other stuff could be, aside from the obvious itemsprites.
Looking really good ozBillo!
Thanks, Omni.
I've added a battered old door, too.
Cheers,
Bill
what bothers me a bit is the perfect square window
I agree. I'll knock it around some more :smile.gif:

I quiet like this idea.
A 32x32 texture pack that keeps faithful to the original textures, items, and gui.

And added DarkMother's cracked glass idea.
Is this kinda like it?
Is **** holy?
But great work it looks amazing
Cheers!
