Oh Holy Candy x256 works! It works for me finally!!!!! Thank you Scuttles for making this awesome texture and thank you wuvluv for finding a solution to fix the black screen :smile.gif: Thank You :smile.gif:!!
Hey just wanted to let you know that I've downloaded all three versions of this texture pack and with no luck of having any of them working.
Seems that I keep getting one of the following errors each time when I try to log into a server my husband and I have running for our own use:
- Out of Memory Error!
Minecraft has run out of memory.
This could be caused by a bug in the game or by the Java Virtual Machine not being allocated enough memory. If you are playing in a web browser, try downloading the game and playing it offline. To prevent level corruption, the current game has quit. Please restart the game.
- Connection Lost
Failed to login: Bad login
- Connection Lost
End of stream
I've even tried the whole unpatching the game and repatching it to see if that worked and unfortunately it didn't work. Also tried the old launcher to make sure nothing was wrong with the new launcher, still didn't work. I was using the previous 128X128 and that was working fine, but it seems the updated pack is just not working correctly for some reason. I really hope this can be fixed cause I quite enjoy this pack a lot. n_n Am I doing something wrong here? Just to let you know, I didn't mess with any of the settings in the patcher, so I don't see why there would be a problem there.
The connection problems should fix itself. The bad login is when you just has closed minecraft and logged in again. So then if it hasnt logged you out of last session you will get that prob. Wait 30 sec. It will fix. If you have 64bit windows then follow the instrucs in the quote in the first post.
Finally got it to work, so nevermind my comment. Seems that like stated in the first post, "Windows 7 64 bit does indeed like downloading the 32 bit version of Java." So if anyone has been getting the same errors as me, then go click the link to download the 64 bit of Java offline for Windows 7. It does work. Mine now works after doing exactly that. n_n
I love how this texture pack looks, my system can handle even the 256x256 version! However, it is unplayable for me because minecraft does no support mipmapping, so anything far away looks trippy/shimmery, which is unacceptable for me. If there is a mod that enables mipmapping, please let me know.
Problem.. my swords, armors, tools, and certain other objects all have white pictures and are white when i hold them.. how can i fix this?
I get that too!
any idea?
i'm really not sure its the patches as other texture packs which are HD works fine...
but i want LB photo realism
from what i managed to observe, it is for every item which doesn't have volume, blocks for example would work fine, but all the rest of the items which are just "2D pictures" (seeds, leather, porkchops, cakes, tools etc) will appear as white squares, it also appear as if the faces of the texture are inverted...
I get that too, but not with everything. For example, saplings and torches show fine, but pickaxes do not. Maybe it is just too many polygons to render.
Are you having issues with tools and major artifacts around them too? All I did was add the map to the items file and I'm getting artifacts on all my tools now. Is this a known 1.6.4 glitch? I haven't been able to find it mentioned anywhere.
(On my texture pack btw, but wanted to see if it happened to yours too)

This is an issue with MCPatcher.
It was said that an update would be released last night to fix it, but apparently it's been delayed for some reason.
I've already made the glowstone "glow" more in the next release as well as the diamond being a bit brighter. I'm also trying to find a solution to the coal being so damn hard to spot for some people. I'm too used to it at this point that I can't why they are so blind. XD
Nice!
It's a bit disheartening to look at the minepedia version history. It's like "we fixed these 4 things, but here's 50 new issues because of it"... Yay. =(
Edit:
Exactly, lol
I may just increase the brightness of the stone overall, but I'll try darkening the coal to see if I can get a better effect.
i don't have a problem with coal but gold diamond and glowstone doesn't pop too much.
looks like 1.6.5 doesnt like your texture pack on my end. ive got the new 2.1.0 MCPatcher (java heap size set to 2048), and using your latest pack version (5.0.0) but upon trying to activate the pack in-game i get the frozen black screen that usually happens every game update before the pack is updated.
are we just waiting for your next version? or am i missing something? im assuming we'll just need another update from you but i wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something
heres the error report i get from he MCPatcher when i "test minecraft"

for the time being if i change my MCPatcher's java heap size to 3072 i am able to use the 256 resolution pack just fine. and at heap size 2048 i can only run 64
apparerntly theres a memory issue with the MCpatcher right now
I also have 4GB ram. If you have 64bit windows then follow the instructions in the quote in first post.

Then jump over the steps where you have to download 64bit java and continue at the step with the "easy stuff".
IP for what?

does anyone else here experience this problem?
Я РУССКИЙ. Я плохо знаю английский, если тут есть русско-язычные помогите с проблемой.
Hmm. It`s perfect for me

Maybe you just don't have enough RAM.
Personally, I use 3GB of RAM on my 64bit system WITHOUT MC or the MC Server running.
I'm a RAM *****... >:biggrin.gif:

Phantom, thanks. Glad to hear it isn't a pack issue.
It happens on all packs, however it is much less noticeable the lower you go in resolution.
