I think that people who have posts >1000 and have a good record get invited.
No, I got invited and I've only posted 40 times. I think it's more quality than quantity. 5 hours a week is a lot... I think I won't accept.

And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge... Rumor turned into myth... myth turned into legend, and legend gave rumor and myth amiss, and went straight into autumn. ...Wait, what?
I would actually suggest not doing applications for moderation but only add people to being mods who have experience in the site and a friendly history with the staff of the site.
This will also make it very helpful in also knowing who honest person is and a child brat. It will also help to know who is not going to do the drunk moderating like on a few sites i know of.
Trust me i know these things being that i have been around many major fan groups and websites to know who to really watch out for.
What's the logic behind offering moderationship to EVERYONE? This includes a person who joined the forums a minute ago, with no experience whatsoever. Why not pick out a select few, active and helpful members instead?
It's not like everyone who submits a application gets Moderator so why does it matter?

Its just a suggestion to the staff.
We've done applications for over a year and a half. Applications are a way of letting us know who is actually interested in becoming a moderator and saves us a lot of time
I know this sounds stupid and may squander my chances of getting accepted, but I clicked off of that and completely forgot what I was meant to write/answer. Mind PM'ing me the form? So sorry for any inconveniences caused!
Why you want to be a moderator?
How many hours per week you think you can dedicate to moderating the forum?
What experience with moderating a forum do you have?
What is your location?
optional questionsyou do not need to answer these, but doing so is helpful
What is your age?
Do you go to school or have a full timejob or both?
Please tick all the sections you're interested in applying to moderate.
Will you be kicked off the team if you are not on al least 5hrs a week? If not, what is the punnishment? I wouild absolutly LOVE to be a moderator, but if I cant get on all the time, I want to know if there will be a punishment, so I dont make a fool of myself.
Also, Will we get to pick what type of forum we moderate(like Xbox360 edition, Survival, Creative) or will we be assigned to only moderate what we were told to?

I love how Jefe, (A Forum Admin) has more posts that Critic, (A Site Admin)
The format you should use is shown when you first click the link in the OP
"Why we picked you?"
... Because... *Yadda yadda*...
And so forth. Because NO ONE KNOWS why we have received this banner asking for our moderation.
And while I love this place, I just don't think I could do that. I like to, you know, interact with the forum peeps. Not police them.
So I'll kindly thank you for the offer, but decline it.
