Did anybody figure out how you join the Dark Brotherhood?
When you hear of a kid in Windhelm performing the dark sacrament, go investigate it and you will set off a series of quests that will get you approached to join the dark brotherhood

- Dark Brotherhood
- Vampire
- Rogue werewolf
- Thief (the Guild in Skyrim is too much of a mafia strangely, so I count it as evil)
- Rebel
Yeah you can be the bad guy
I kinda want TES VI to have the option of becoming a lich though (as I've expressed before). Mages are the only ones that don't have their own "evil" version
I don't really count vampires or werewolves as 'evil', seeing as you can use their powers for good (well werewolves at least). I'd think the same way about any other 'monster' form that gets added in TES VI.
I think the guy who posted about joining the Thalmor meant he wanted to join the main quest antagonist faction, like the Mythic Dawn or the Sixth House. There should be an option for that in TES VI (though they did kind of add that in Dawnguard).

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
Conjurers, evil? Bah. Many use the powers of conjuration for evil, but that doesn't mean all of them are. Daedra summoning is a completely neutral action, considering Daedra are NOT evil anyway. The Vigil is only there because after the Oblivion Crisis everyone became somewhat skeptical.
As for joining the evil guys... You could join the Mythic Dawn to an extent in Oblivion, would be fun if the same was done for the Aldmeri Dominion.

Although they aren't neccesarily evil, they could be evil by using them for evil purposes. And people consider vampires evil by heart, and the way TES portrays them speaks for itself.

Not necessarily. Vampires are, by nature, evil. But if one has a willpower strong enough, they can overcome their animal urges (mind you, that's very difficult). Of course, for that they'd have to be of a Cyrodiilic breed, since those are the only ones capable of blending in with society.
So far, we have only seen two examples of those vampires.

Well, my CoC was a vampire and he saved all of Nirn from the rapture, saving the world can hardly be considered evil.

But is there any logical reason behind it? As in, can you really pick locks that way?
I don't think so... you use a lockpick and a straight piece of metal? Is that still the lockpick? I don't THINK that you can do that, but I might do a little research.
I was thinking, how the **** does lockpicking work in this game? Considering real locks look like this:
How exactly does it work? Honesly curious, I'd be happy to know if there exists a type of lock I don't know about
(if anyone is wondering, this got into my interest while I was trying to learn how to pick locks. Sue me)
I don't think you can, but this systems much easier to use than Oblivion's one so I can see why they did it.

Have you ever get the Skeleton key? The Skeleton key is a lockpick where you can unlock any door you want without ever breaking it. I tend to use the Skeleton key to break in most people homes or steal other valuable stuff.

I'd disagree (Oblivion's took the player's perception and own skill instead of pure luck) but that's not the point. I'm asking if there are locks that could be picked that way. I'm not asking for why they changed it.

Yea, I read the post. I never saw anyone trying to lockpick any lock. But I don't think it possible. Besides, have you ever see someone break in a car without using any lockpicking? He would just break in a car door by using a tennis ball that has a hole in it, push on the ball like a CPR method, and then it would open. Is it possible breaking in a car by using a tennis ball?

No more than a week I believe. Probably less. Normally when platforms have different release dates it doesn't last long. Of course this is just an hypothesis, I have no evidence of it.
Bethesda has not announced I expected it to be 2 weeks or so normally when Microsoft pays for exclusive first updates that's how it works.
We will probably see it and the full version of the 1.7 patch released together.

OT, That was my first question when I got the game. I honestly have no idea. Maybe they thought it would be too hard for players?
