Yup, the title says it all.
I really don't like games with blood. (and yes, i am male)
I mean, just a little bit like in WoW (world of warcraft) or the sword potion effect icon in minecraft is ok
but i really don't like things like, pulling off heads, ripping out hearts, shooting people etc.
I don't really have a problem with stuff like shooters... It's just the blood that bothers me.
However
I don't know why, but i can resist blood in an other game. Portal.
No, not part 2 but part 1. Part 2 doesn't have blood.
Anyhow, when shot by a turret you can see blood on the walls but i'm ok with that.
I really don't know why. And this isn't because of the texture.
Portal uses the half life 2 engine and has the same blood textures.
And i don't like half life blood textures.
Are there more people who are kinda sensitive to this?
Or is it just me?
Well, I am kind of like this. I can stand and even appreciate the design of intense gore in games such as Resident Evil, Gears of War, and Fallout. I'm a big fan of gaming and the creation of games, so I think that ties into my 'love' of virtual gore. Real life is a completely different story. I can simply watch someone get ripped in half on Gears of War, but I cannot stand to see even a drop of blood in real life. It makes me queasy and freaks me out.

"That average looking guy with glasses... He kinda looks exactly like Ted..."
I am not gore sensitive but seeing a lot just looks nasty. I don't care if there is blood in games like Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil etc.

I don't particularly like much gore, especially gore that doesn't serve any purpose. The kind of gore I see in TV, movies, and video games I have taken to call gorenography for its obvious parallels to the word it plays upon. A more detailed explanation is probably not appropriate for these boards, but in general, it seems to me that people who like gore get something analogous to sexual pleasure from it. As I don't get any sort of pleasure from gore, I tend to avoid it unless it's being used to make a meaningful statement or get across an idea that depends on its use.
Actually, video game violence doesn't have as much of an effect on me as TV or movie violence.
In the movie Escape from Alcatraz, there's a part where a character chops his own fingers off with an axe in a woodshop activity that the cons are able to do... watching that was worse for me than any video game I've played, even though it happened in less than a second...
I don't think TF2 is that bad. I don't really mind video game gore, even Mortal Kombat-esque things are fine to me. But real life or movie gore grosses me out. I remember watching "127 Hours" and wanting to throw up when he started cutting his arm off... that was nasty.
I'm the exact opposite. Seeing gore in games pleasures me to no end.
Pleasure? Not messed up at all.
I am definitely desensitized by gore and other stuff like that. I remember last year I saw a really brutal beating of this gay guy in some third world country which ended in him getting set on fire, and I could not sleep. I was shaking and I was on the verge of tears but that stuff doesn't really bother me anymore.
I am pretty fine with gore, but I sometimes feel a little uncomfortable when I play God of War, and Kratos pokes a poor man's eyes out and rips off his head.
Most of the time, though, gore in a video game does not bother me.
Gore in real life is a little different. I do not enjoy seeing people in real life lose a limb.
Well yeah, decapitating people in video games is awesome but taking pleasure in Mexican Cartel executions..? Eh..
In that scenario I wouldn't take pleasure in, I just wouldn't care unless I was there, being desensitized to it and all. There's a big difference between real people and fake people.

Nope.
I cannot resist gore neither.
And horror games (even funny Amnesia Let's Plays don't let me sleep).

And I hate gorey screen affects on first-person games.
That was the only thing that could disgust me with blood/gore. But I'm fine with gore in games and stuff. Doesn't bother me.

Are we still on the topic of video games? Because if not, then just because it's video/picture it doesn't mean that the people in the video are fake.
